Most times, the Profilerr CS2 pro player rankings are updated weekly based on the latest match data. However, we understand the importance of getting the latest information during Majors, so at that time, we update information about gamers daily. This way, you can always be aware of any sudden changes in the players' positions in the rating system.
How is the Current Rating for Each Player Calculated?
A complex ranking system is used to calculate CS2 players’ ranks. The main metrics are:
- Kill/Death Ratio
- Impact Rating (Kills that significantly affected the result of the match)
- Damage Rating (ADR)
- KAST Rating (Whether a person had a kill, assist, survived, or was traded during the round)
Each of these metrics has its own value, which affects the final score and the player's position in the rating. There are also parameters like the total number of rounds a particular person played or against whom their team played in the most recent match, but they have a small influence on the player ratings in CS2.
You should also remember that the system for determining the best players is constantly evolving, considering new parameters and removing redundant ones. This provides you with a comprehensive analysis of the performance of the pro gamers for the past two months.
FAQ
How many professional players are there?
Counter-Strike has a huge user base and a lot of gamers. A total of 55,704 esports players are registered, but not all of them are active. In total, the number of active pros can be reduced to 1,000-2,000.
When is the best player of the year determined?
Usually, the best player of the year is determined at the end of the last season, i.e., in winter. If we are talking about the place in the global CS2 player rankings, it changes after each tournament match.
Who is the coolest CS player ever?
One of the top players among the global elite is s1mple, aka Oleksandr Kostylev, from the Natus Vincere team. This guy is generally recognized as one of the best in the world, sometimes losing the first place in CS2 ranks to no less worthy opponents.
Which tournaments have the most impact on player rankings?
The evaluation system is organized in such a way that all the events are approximately equal. It is not the status of the tournament that is taken into account but the player's performance. Because of this aspect and the fact that the rating is updated regularly, a player from a team that recently won some middle-tier event can break into first place.
Nevertheless, there are some tournaments that have a high status among players, and participation in them is considered the prerogative of the elite. Such events include Major Series, PGL, ELEAGUE, ESL, BLAST.tv, Intel Extreme Masters, and a few other less significant ones. Nevertheless, the very fact of participation in such events already guarantees a player to get into the top lines of the rankings, as it is necessary to have the highest level of skill just to qualify for these tournaments.
