10 Best Entry Fraggers in CS2
What do you think when you see or hear about the ‘entry fragging’ role in Counter-Strike? Are the best CS2 entry fraggers those who kill the most players in opening duels, and do they need to deliver huge ADR? Maybe reviewing the percentage of successful duels or the number of opening kills per round is better? And what about the activity of the entry fraggers: how often should they be involved in first duels, or how much space should they create to be the best in entry fragger role in cs2?
In fact, all these numbers and aspects matter. However, determining the best entry fraggers in Counter-Strike 2 can be challenging, as the release of the new game version was only a few months ago. Also, we should cut the players who didn’t participate in the Big Events and simply didn’t face enough opposition.
For now, we will review the best pro entry fraggers in Counter-Strike 2 who have shown great results during the transition period, as well as the CS2 Big Events. In terms of the most important indicators, we will rely on the Rating first and then on the Opening Kills Per Round (OKPR), keeping in mind the Success rate, Attempts percentage, and Opening Death per Round (DPR). So, here is what the best entry fragger in Counter-Strike 2 list looks like:
10. Nikola 'NiKo' Kovač
Rating: 1.17
OKPR: 0.12
Many Counter-Strike fans expected to see ‘NiKo,’ but probably from the other side of the best entry fragger in CS2 rating. However, G2 overall, and Kovac in particular, weren’t impressive in the last half of the year, failing to win big trophies, and so their main star didn’t get supporting numbers to move higher. Still, the Bosnian has outstanding mechanical skills and great potential to improve results soon to confirm his all-time fourth place in the Open Kills ratio on big events. We predict that G2 will just start winning trophies in the CS2 era.
9. Denis 'electroNic' Sharipov
Rating: 1.19
OKPR: 0.12
When the discussion comes to defining the best Riflers in CS:GO, few can miss ‘electroNic’ in the rating of the most impactful players. Denis was insane in NAVI, making a deadly duo with Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev, with both chasing incredible numbers in terms of opening duel success. The transitional period was tough for Cloud9 and Sharipov, but we saw some kind of redemption for the Rifler in the last three months. His active playstyle will definitely be a problem for future opponents, but the absence of the AWPer in the team can doubt potential big trophies for the CIS squad.
8. Robin 'ropz' Kool
Rating: 1.15
OKPR: 0.11
Another outstanding rifler in the rating of the top entry fraggers in CS2 is the Estonian beast and FaZe’s most stable player — ‘ropz.’ Despite his vast roles in the team, including Anchor, Second AWP, and Lurker, he is still the best frag opener on the roster. Robin was the key figure to catapult FaZe into an amazing CS2 era start, with 18 straight wins on LANs and gaining three big trophies in a row. However, the team then lost to Vitality in November and couldn’t find their winning performances, but ‘ropz’ remained stable in his opening duel success.
7. Mihai 'iM' Ivan
Rating: 1.12
OKPR: 0.13
The deep run of the GamerLegion at the BLAST TV Major 2023 in Paris was possible due to the impressive teamwork and the insane performance of Mihai ‘iM’ Ivan. His 1.35 rating in France was noted by many top teams, but NAVI was the most persuasive with their offer and transition to the international roster. The Romanian player struggled initially but found his sharp form closer to the winter, and he is the fourth-best if we count only the last three months. It looks like he lacks confidence in some games, but when he is on fire, only a few defenders can deny his entry-fragging ability.
6. Valeriy 'b1t' Vakhovskiy
Rating: 1.11
OKPR: 0.12
With almost identical average numbers with his recent teammate, the sixth position goes to ‘b1t’ — a headshot machine from Ukraine, who was more stable than ‘iM.’ The youngster actually won everything possible in the golden NAVI roster in the second half of 2021, while now is a part of the renewed team that is learning how to play without ‘s1mple.’
Still, Valeriy is damn-good in terms of delivering the best pro entry frags in CS2, using the picking advantage and sharp aim that smashes heads before they can understand anything. One of the reasons Natus Vincere hasn’t won any trophy since the roster went international is the lack of stable plays, and if ‘b1t’ improves, everything is possible even without the GOAT.
5. Lotan 'Spinx' Giladi
Rating: 1.15
OKPR: 0.12
With the aim that ‘Spinx’ possesses, it is unsurprising that he is challenging even his teammate ‘ZywOo’ in terms of the best players to deliver an early advantage. The Israeli player joined Vitality in August 2022, and it still looks like he is improving from game to game, polishing his skills and increasing his impact. The victory on the 2023 Major in Paris only motivated him, and he continued his great form (HLTV’s #5 POTY in 2023), also claiming the status of one of the best Counter-Strike 2 entry fraggers.
4. Alvaro 'SunPayus' Garcia
Rating: 1.12
OKPR: 0.12
The Spanish master Alvaro ‘SunPayus’ Garcia takes only fourth place in the top entry fraggers in Counter-Strike 2 ranking. After high-flying with Movistar Ryders, he got a call from ENCE, transforming it to one of the most stable teams in the first half of 2023, thanks to Alvaro’s great AWPing.
However, the transition to CS2 was tough for the international squad. Still, he and two of his teammates have shown good results to be bought by the Falcons. They are only on their way to bringing dividends, but the team has already successfully played during the IEM Katowice 2024 Playoffs. It’s hard to make any conclusion about the Spaniard and his CS2 entry fragging ability now, but he has enough skill and motivation to move even higher to the top.
3. Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut
Rating: 1.37
OKPR: 0.14
While the numbers by ‘ZywOo’ look enough to be at the top, he is ‘only’ the third-best entry fragger in CS2 at the moment. The French superstar dominated individually in 2023, claiming his first Major and third HLTV’s top-1 medal, although the first few tournaments in CS2 were won by FaZe. However, Mathieu woke up on time, and Vitality closed the year on a high note. Still, the beginning of 2024 wasn’t perfect for the team and ‘ZywOo,’ as Vitality left Katowice 2024 without victories. Nonetheless, the Frenchman will undoubtedly return soon and improve his stats and the team’s results.
2. Jonathan 'EliGE' Jablonowski
Rating: 1.23
OKPR: 0.15
The move of ‘ELiGE’ from Team Liquid to Complexity looked pretty doubtful, but the American got the needed emotional splash and rewinds his best periods in a new fashion. One of the most mechanically gifted players that doesn’t touch a sniper rifle, Jonathan is damn-dangerous with an AK-47 in his hands when looking for the duel.
Although Complexity didn’t get any noticeable wins in the CS2 era, Jablonowski's shooting performance always makes the team a dangerous opponent for everyone. He clearly outperforms ‘ZywOo’ in numbers that matter for entry fragger, but he still finished second in this short race.
1. Ilya 'm0NESY' Osipov
Rating: 1.28
OKPR: 0.14
With the edge advantage over ‘ELiGE’ in terms of numbers, we have to confirm — ‘m0NESY’ is one of the most outstanding entry fraggers in CS, including both latest versions. Ilya has always had a very aggressive playstyle and is usually among the ones seeking for the opening duels in the round.
While the Russian player doesn’t care what weapon he owns, his ability to destroy faces is undeniable, winning many rounds for G2. Although the team has been struggling with trophies since mid-2023, the young AWPer is the most stable and impactful player in the team, especially in the CS2 era.

It’s hard to make some final conclusions about the best pro entry frags in CS2, as the new game iteration has been active for less than six months. However, some professional players have already shown or just proved their quality in Counter-Strike 2, dictating the renewed picking style.
It can be unfortunate for someone not to see the Turkish beast, Ismailcan 'XANTARES' Dörtkardeş, but Eternal Fire isn’t stable on the top level currently. Others can be disappointed not to see Andrei 'arT' Piovezan, but FURIA isn’t doing any better than Eternal Fire. Still, it will be interesting to follow the fly of the young prodigy ‘donk,’ who took the pro scene by storm and will try to continue setting unbeatable records in all statistical indicators, especially in entry fragging.
