Overpass Callouts: Explanation for All Overpass Map Callouts

The Overpass is among the most popular CS2 Bomb Defusal maps due to its awesome design and high variety of possible tactical moves. The setting is a Berlin park with a canal overpass. The CTs take the role of an elite GSG-9 team, while the Ts are members of the Phoenix Connexion group, trying to destroy a military shipment.

The CTs spawn near the cargo track (A-Bombsite), and terrorists enter the map at the bottom of the canal. The map provides both teams with ample access to sniper nests, defensible corridors, and cover.

A-Site CS2 Overpass Callouts

As the name suggests, A-Site includes the locations near the A-Bombsite. This is a starting point for the CT team, and you should keep in mind the following 22 CS Overpass map callouts while playing in this area:

A Long

This path connects the A-Bombsite to the Fountain. It’s called “long” because it’s the longest way for terrorists to reach A-Site. This is also a perfect location for CT snipers.

A Short

A Short connects Mid and A-Bombsite. In case you need to reach A-Site from the Mid as soon as possible, you should go this way.

Party/Balloons/Picnic

This open area is located near the Fountain and Toilets. It’s a great spot to prevent enemies from entering the Mid from the Connector.

Fountain

Terrorists can enter an area with a tiny fountain directly from the Upper Tunnel. They have several ways to reach A-Bombsite from this spot.

Toilets/Restrooms

These corridors connect A-Long to A-Site and Mid. The location may be considered an alternative to A-Short, allowing terrorists to reach the A-Bombsite faster.

Long Toilets/Divider/Ticket/Long Bathroom/Long Restroom

This side of Toilets allows the players to unexpectedly enter A Long. For instance, it may be used to attack A-Bombsite from two directions at once.

Cafe

This spot is located on A Long near the entrance to Long Toilets. It got its name from a sign on the wall.

Bench/Lamp

You can discover this spot if you look directly opposite the Cafe. It’s often used by CT snipers.

Bank

This callout refers to a building at the back of A-Bombsite. This location provides fire control over the whole area.

Dumpster

A dumpster located right near the Bins may be used as a cover. It’s also a place where you can hide to take your enemies by surprise.

Truck

The vehicle parked next to the Bank. The defenders of this area usually use it as a cover and observation post.

Optimus

The truck on the right side of the A-Site is named after the main character of the Transformers franchise. This piece of terrain is a great cover if you find yourself in a gunfight there.

Bins

At the back of the A-Bombsite, players can enter a tiny area with green bins. This area leads to the Sink or Heaven.

Signpost

Thanks to a large signpost near the exits to A Long and A Short, this spot is impossible to miss. Sometimes, players hide here to eliminate inattentive enemies that try to enter the A-Bombsite.

Sink

This is a tiny room with a sink located next to the Storage and the most convenient way to access that location.

Storage/Vault

This is a great place to hide while listening for the enemy movement at the A-Bombsite.

Long Boost

Right before entering the Cafe, you’ll notice a large outdoor air vent. By jumping from the nearby bench, you can climb on the vent to peek into A-Bombsite.

Flowers

Flowers is an area located directly before the main entrance to A-Bombsite. The location is favored by campers, so keep an eye on it while entering the A-Site from Bins or Bank.

Close Left

This tiny but useful hotspot is located in the left corner next to the exit of A Long. It’s often used to eliminate entering enemies.

Default

This callout is the default spot for planting a bomb on the A-Bombsite. It’s located directly between two large green boxes in the middle of the area.

Tree

You can notice a tree growing on A Long. Counter-terrorists often use it to hide from the enemies that check this area from the Playground. The bad news is that most weapons can easily penetrate the tree.

Rock

The Rock is located on A Long not far from the Tree. It’s a perfect place for terrorists to hide while pushing this way.

B-Site Overpass Callouts in CS 2

Alley

The long way from T-Spawn to the Tracks is called “Alley”. Terrorists usually opt for it if they want to plant a bomb on B-Site.

Club

While walking the Alley, you may notice a set of locked steel doors. Players believe that this is an entrance to a club, and sometimes, you can even hear music coming from there.

Tracks/Outside Monster

After passing the Alley, you’ll enter the area called Tracks. Here, you can choose between two routes to the B-Bombsite: Monster or Short Tunnel.

Monster

This long tunnel is named after the graffiti on its entrance, which looks like a monster’s mouth. It leads directly to the Sewers near the B-Bombsite.

Sewers

As soon as you leave the Monster, you can be easily shot from Heaven, making the Sewers a dangerous spot to be in. Luckily, you can hide behind the Pillar and make your way to plant the bomb.

Pillar

In addition to protection, this large cylindrical pillar in the middle of the B-Site allows a player to observe the surrounding area and look for hiding enemies.

Barrels/Toxic Barrels

While at B-Bombsite, you can notice a set of barrels with toxin markings. This is an excellent location to eliminate opponents entering the area from the Monster.

Heaven

This platform provides vision over most of the area. Considering its popularity, it’s likely that enemies who enter the B-Bombsite will check it first.

Pit

The dark area covered in the water behind the B-Bombsite is called the Pit. Usually, players jump into it from Heaven to quickly change position.

Bridge

This spot is located close to the B-bombsite, Sandbags, and Walkway. It doesn’t provide reliable cover, so it’s better not to stay there if you’re under fire.

Sandbags

This is one of the most popular spots on the map. These sandbags are often used for cover while either defending or rushing the B-Bombsite.

Walkway

If you cross the Bridge, you’ll get directly to the Walkway. This spot offers perfect sight lines on the whole B-Site, but it lacks any solid cover.

Boost

If you want to check what happens on the Water, you can jump onto these sandbags and then jump again to peek. However, be careful as you may also be spotted.

Graffiti

At the back of the Walkway, the players can find a boxed-off corner adorned with graffiti. It provides a perfect cover for defenders of the B-Site armed with mid-range assault rifles.

Short Tunnel

If you don’t want to enter the B-Bombsite through the Monster, you’ll probably go through this tunnel. It’ll lead you to the Water/Construction, and it’s better to keep your eyes on the Squeaky and Sandbags, as enemies y may suddenly jump you from those locations.

Water/Construction

This is an area filled with water located on the way from Short Tunnel and Squeaky to Sandbags. There is also Boost that players can use to check out the B-Bombsite.

Mid Callouts of Overpass Map

Mid

Lower Tunnels/Blue

Squeaky

The door between the Lower Tunnels and the Water is called Squeaky due to the noises it generates when a player opens it. Take into account that you’ll be extremely vulnerable to attack from the Sandbags if you enter the Water through this spot.

CT Spawn/CT Stairs/CT Connector

CT spawn refers to the stairwells and tunnels located at the back of A-Side. Counter-terrorists use them to get to the Walkway or Heaven as soon as possible.
