Shadow Daggers Case Hardened

In the CS2 skin world, the Case Hardened family is one of the most iconic, popular, and unpredictable in terms of price. Some of the weapons with this skin fetch jaw-dropping price tags, like the ultra-rare AK-47 Blue Gem, which can go for over $100,000. So, it is no surprise that Blue Gem Shadow Daggers have a wide range of designs, causing prices to swing wildly.

The Case Hardened skins take their cue from real-life metal processing, where chemical reactions can deliver unpredictable paintings on the surface after the tilling finish. Sometimes, this process results in a lot of blue dye, which can prevail over the more typical yellow-metallic and purple hues. The mix of colors is a matter of skin pattern index, and those with a lot of blue are especially rare, earning the name Shadow Daggers Blue Gem.

Let’s dive into the Shadow Daggers Blue Gem patterns and what you should know about them before buying or selling these Case Hardened knives.

What Are the Differences Between Shadow Daggers Case Hardened Patterns?

The majority of CS2 skins are ranked by their float index and rarity, while the pattern number having no impact on their appearance. However, Case Hardened skins are unique. Pattern numbers, ranging from zero to 999, determine the proportion of the colors, their placement, and the overall design.

In Counter-Strike 2, the amount of blue on most Case Hardened skins is the key indicator of rarity, driving prices higher. If the cerulean hue covers approximately more than half of the painted surface, the skin is classified as a Blue Gem. In other words, the CS2 Shadow Daggers Blue Gem refers to Case Hardened skins with a significant amount of blue dye on their surface.

There is a Shadow Daggers Case Hardened patterns tier list, which ranks Blue Gems based on the amount of cerulean color, directly affecting their prices. Tier-1 patterns have the most blue dye on the knife and are the most expensive, while tier-4 patterns have less blue and are less costly.

Shadow Daggers Case Hardened Seeds

Interestingly, it’s pretty challenging to find any Blue Gem skin for the Shadow Daggers on either skin trading market, with none available at the moment. This means that all further discussions regarding the price for each tier will be approximate. Nonetheless, here’s a breakdown of the Shadow Daggers Case Hardened Blue Gem patterns:

Tier level

Pattern values

Tier 1

56, 417, 609, 505, 866

Tier 2

707, 657, 576, 771, 830, 176

Tier 3

602

Tier 4

706, 346, 367, 570, 933

Unlike AKs, Five-Sevens, or Karambit knives, there are far fewer than a hundred patterns considered Blue Gem for the Shadow Daggers Case Hardened. However, the Shadow Daggers Case Hardened Blue Gem seed remains similar, with four tiers based on the amount of blue on the edge:

  1. Tier 1: more than 95%
  2. Tier 2: 80% to 95%
  3. Tier 3: 65% to 80%
  4. Tier 4: 50% to 65%

It’s important to note that those numbers are pretty approximate and simply cannot be precisely calculated. Additionally, even the best Shadow Daggers Blue Gem pattern cannot guarantee full coverage of BOTH knives in blue color from both sides. Furthermore, the humiliation animation for Shadow Daggers is quite specific, with the knife in the left hand being turned 180 degrees during the attack. This means the skin may appear differently in default conditions compared to when the “F” is pressed. If both daggers in either variation have enough blue, it’s a contender to be considered a Blue Gem.

In the following screenshots of the Tier 1 knife with pattern #609, you can see the difference between the basic appearance of Shadow Daggers and when pressing “F.” The knife in the left hand has a much more blue color on its opposite side, and deserves the status of the Blue Gem in a specific view only.

Now, let’s delve into each of the tiers in more detail.

1st Tier Shadow Daggers Case Hardened Patterns (Blue Gem)

Undoubtedly, the 1st tier skins boast an abundance of blue, with only five such patterns. You’ve already witnessed what the best Shadow Daggers Case Hardened pattern looks like on the first image, featuring pattern index #56.

In the following picture, we have another elite representative, sporting the 505th pattern index. Despite its Field Tested wear level of 0.32, it still looks attractive. With no prices available for either tier, we can only assume the cost of such beauty. Some sources suggest that the most expensive Blue Gem Daggers have fetched over $7,000, possibly for the Factory New copy after its release in 2017.

Another prime example of elite knives boasting an abundance of cerulean color on their blades is pattern #609, as showcased earlier. To be frank, there aren’t many discernible differences among these elite tier representatives, and even different wear levels don’t seem to make much of an impact. Nevertheless, with no real prices available, we can only assume that such a specimen would fetch over a thousand bucks if it were to appear on the market.

2nd Tier Patterns

As mentioned earlier, distinguishing between the tiers and their corresponding knife appearances can be challenging, especially with neighboring levels. That said, the 657th pattern falls into the second tier and boasts a generous amount of blue dye on the daggers, albeit slightly less than five elite copies. While we can visually compare these patterns, pricing information remains elusive. However, we estimate that Factory New knives from tier 2 could command close to a thousand dollars, with prices dropping to $500 for copies with a higher float.

At the same time, it is evident that some tier-2 Shadow Daggers exhibit a significant amount of non-blue shade, despite being classified as Blue Gems. Take the 830th pattern, for instance; it displays even more yellow and purple coloring on the tip of both knives compared to the previous copy. The float value of 0.22 doesn’t seem to make a significant difference either, but we estimate that its value should hover around $500, and possibly even lower.

3rd & 4-th Tier Patterns

Quite predictably, the lower tiers entail less blue dye on the knives, and some players can even question whether they truly classify as Shadow Daggers Case Hardened Blue Gems. While there is still a noticeable amount of blue on the edge, especially when the knives are viewed from the right side, the visual distinction is apparent. If you feel that certain patterns from the upper and lower tiers deserve to fall into the third tier, you are certainly not alone.

You may observe that there is only one pattern in the 3rd tier, exemplified by the 602nd one in-game. Non-blue hues spread even closer to the handle, but the two main colors remain distinct without any additional splashes, resulting in a stylish appearance. We assume that the Factory New item of this caliber could fetch over 500 dollars but likely not more than 1k, even for a highly recognizable float.

The 367th skin pattern falls into the fourth tier, and visually, the amount of blue color isn’t much less than on the previous item. However, the slightly more chaotic lines create a different perception. Overall, the Shadow Daggers presented below should merit a price of around $400–500 bucks, with the Factory New version accomplishment being even more valuable.

You might be surprised yet again to find that some non-Blue Gem patterns were unfairly excluded from the table. Take pattern 342nd, for instance; it boasts nearly the same amount of blue on the edges and undoubtedly looks fantastic in the game. What’s more important is that such skin is now available on the trading platforms and fetches almost $350 with a Factory New float.

By the way, there are other CS2 case hardened skins on our website, such as karambit blue gem patterns, five seven blue gem patterns, butterfly blue gem patterns, if you like this skin and its patterns.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Shadow Daggers Case Hardened skin boasts a diverse array of patterns, each offering a unique look. Some of the seed patterns feature an abundance of blue color on the edges, earning them the distinct title of Blue Gem. However, it’s essential to be always attentive before buying or selling your knife. Always examine its pattern and inspect it in-game before finalizing any deals.
