Workshop Update for CS2 — December 6, 2025

On the sixth of December 2025, Valve released the update that has entirely changed the game for skin creators. So, what should you expect from CS2 now?
Supplemental Terms
First, all Workshop members should get acquainted with the new Supplemental Terms announced by Valve, which govern how cosmetic items are released in the game. To cut a long story short, now you can get paid a flat fee for the creation of licensed items:
- $35,000 for weapon finish.
- $6,000 for a sticker.
- $6,000 for a charm.
It means that if the quality of your weapon finish is high enough to be featured in the Armory or other similar in-game item systems, you’ll get $35,000. However, the money is paid for the contribution, so if two or more people have been working on the project, they’ll have to share the reward.
It’s still possible to opt for the old revenue-sharing system. However, community members suspect that, in this case, your items are less likely to be featured in the game.
A Call to Arms-ory
The developers have also announced an upcoming update — A Call to Arms-ory. Although they haven’t provided us with any specific release dates, right now they’re looking for cosmetic items inspired by the following themes:
- Arabesque Art and Arabian Mythology.
- Spy/Tech.
Valve is also looking for stickers related to Auto Racing and Fruits and Vegetables. So, if you work with any of the mentioned styles, you can submit your items to the upcoming update via the Workshop Tool:

Dr. Boom charm model
Finally, Valve made the Dr. Boom charm model available, so any creator can paint it and submit it for a future community collection. However, it’s unlikely to be part of a new Call to Arms-ory update. They also added a new Paint Kit type, Custom Paint Job Extended, which offers more options and features for skin creators.
