The Dead Hand Update of 12.03.2026 for CS2

Valve’s March 12, 2026 update gives the weekly drop reward system a fresh boost. And it’s not only because of a new collection of 17 new skins in the Dead Hand Collection that you can get via Terminal offers, but also the ability to receive brand new gloves. There are also some minor updates as well, so let’s dive into more details.

The Dead Hand Collection Skins
The Dead Hand Collection brings the usual 17 new skins to the Dead Hand Terminal, but most of the attention is on the 22 brand-new gloves included as rare special items. Those rare special items are what make this update stand out because earlier, gold skins were available only in weapon cases that required keys and through in-game trade-ups.

Looking at the weapon skins themselves, the players were presented with two Covert finishes, three Classified guns, five Restricted weapons, and seven Mil-Spec Grade items. Quite a few of these community-made designs look really great and will find their place in many players’ inventories. There is also a clear tendency toward brighter designs, better-shaped images, and interesting references.

Other Minor Changes
Alongside fixing the pixel gap at Long Doors on Dust II, Valve also briefly changed the Xbox near Mid Doors, only to return it to its previous state shortly after. The Competitive and Deathmatch Alpine map was updated to the latest Community Workshop version, fixing several bugs and adding some content since February.
