Post Blast Austin 2025 Major Update of 3rd July 2025 for CS2

Following the remarkable victory of Team Vitality at the Blast Austin 2025 Major, Valve released an update dedicated to the tournament on July 3rd. Although the changes aren’t as significant as the fans might have expected, they still introduce some improvements and cosmetic items.
The List of Changes & Updates

New Stickers & Highlight Charms
First of all, Valve made Champions Autographs Capsule available for purchase. It contains 20 stickers signed by the winners of the tournaments — Team Vitality (ropz, mezii, FlameZ, ZywOo, and apEX). These cosmetic items are divided into four types: Gold (Extraordinary), Holo (Exotic), Foil (Remarkable), and Usual (High-Grade). It’s great that each type has its definitive style, which may be perfectly matched with various gun skins.

Also, Valve finally introduced Highlight Souvenir Packages, which include unique charms. All in all, there are seven containers devoted to the tournament maps. Inside each of them, you can find from 16 to 19 skins with attached special charms, which include one of the highlights from the Blast Austin 2025 Major. Some players have already counted that this item may contain one of 492 clips!

It’s possible to watch a video once you hover over the enhanced gun in your inventory. You can also detach the highlight charm if you want.
Gameplay Updates
Now, you can use your beautiful voice not only in a team chat during the matches but also in the lobby and during the Premier Pick/Ban phase. Nonetheless, the communication quality still leaves much to be desired (in comparison to Discord).
Fixed Bugs
Finally, let’s talk about the problems Valve managed to solve by releasing this new update:
- Bad command flows in
point_severcommand
entities are finally fixed! Thanks to this, custom scripts, theoretically, shouldn’t lead to significant lags on servers. - Developers have fixed a bug that caused the community maps to reload inappropriately after the
restart
command. - Buy binds are no longer available during the halftime freeze phase. It’s supposed that this change will fix an old Armor bug, which allowed the players to start the Pistol round in the second half of the match with an extra $1,000 (it was in the game since its release!).
- The scoreboard column text formatting in Japanese is fixed, too.
