How to Apply or Remove Charms in CS2

Have you already bought that Armory Pass introduced in a recent major update? It’s the expansion where Valve released weapon charms that you can apply anywhere on pistols or rifles! So, any player now has an extra cosmetic option to customize their guns. But when you get one, how to apply a charm in CS2? Here is a quick guide!

How to Apply Charms to Weapons in CS2

You can currently try out two collections: Missing Link and Small Arms Charms. Assuming you already got your charm from the Armory Pass or bought it from some player, you just need to complete several simple steps to decorate your weapon and wow your friends on the server.

#1 Navigate to Your Inventory

Launch the game and head over to your inventory.

#2 Choose the Weapon

Just as you usually select a skin or a sticker to apply, the first step here is to find the gun you want to customize with a charm.

#3 Tap on 'Equip Charm'

Once you’re set and ready, click on the weapon and choose the Attach Charm option.

#4 Choose the Charm

Select the charm from the collections that are available to you. If you don’t have a particular signature style in mind, you can experiment by placing different charms across your weapon.

#5 Position the Toy

A feature we all adore about this update is that you can place any charm anywhere on your gun. So, play as much as you want! Rotate the weapon and position the selected minifigure to match your sense of style. Want it hanging closer to the barrel? Go ahead! Need it near the trigger? It’s all up to you and your taste.

#6 Confirm and Save

Okay, so you’ve created a perfect craft you’d love to show off. Now what? The last step on the way to apply charms in CS2 is to click on the Confirm Position button and then select the Attach Charm option. That’s it! Head over to the matchmaking and start a round to see the new charm in action!

How to Remove Charms?

Okay, let’s imagine you got annoyed with specific charms or want to sell or trade your weapon. Not every player will buy a gun that has one—tastes differ, after all. For such cases, there is a feature that allows you to detach charms.

Here is how it works: When you get a charm from the Armory, you instantly receive three free detachment packs. Additionally, you can get your hands on one in your weekly care packages. Otherwise, you’ll have to purchase a detachment tool in the Steam market. So, how to remove a charm in CS2?

#1 Go to Your Inventory

Again, open your inventory and locate the weapon from which you wish to remove a charm.

#2 Pick the Weapon

Click on the selected gun. Keep in mind that some charms are permanent. So, check if the one you chose is actually detachable.

#3 Open the Menu

Select the Detach Charm option from the drop-down menu.

#4 Tap on ‘Detach’

If you’re sure you want to proceed, hit the green button to detach the toy. Remember, there are only three free detachment packs. Buying an additional one will cost you around $0.99.
