Gut Knife Fire and Ice Patterns [Guide]
Are you dreaming of purchasing an attractive knife skin in CS2 without spending all your money? Well, the game has a lot of these to offer. For instance, take a look at the Fire and Ice Gut Knife. The skin has a cool inspection animation, a unique design with a curved blade that resembles a hook, and even some variety.
If you opt for a Fire and Ice finish, you may wonder which pattern to go for. There are as many as 12 groups with dozens of designs each. So, in this guide, we’ll try to help you discover the best Gut knife Fire and Ice pattern for your inventory.
Gut Knife Marble Fade Fire and Ice Unique Features
Out of all Gut knife skins, Marble Fade is probably the most popular and sought-after. Gut knife Marble Fade skins feature a mix of red, blue, and yellow. According to CS2's official description, the blade's unique patterns imitate the use of black and silver metallic paints, marbleizing medium, and candy coating process.
Design of Gut Knife Marble Fade Patterns
If you open the list of available skins for the Gut knife, you won’t immediately find Fire and Ice there. That’s because similarly to the famous Blue Gems, they are a subcategory of other skin, Marble Fade. As the name suggests, Gut Knife Fire and Ice finishes are dominated by red and blue.
Gut knife Fire and Ice patterns are Marble Fade skins with a specific index. Another similarity to Blue Gems, the rarity of these variants determines their price and designs. Getting a Marble Fade Fire and Ice Gut knife from a Chroma case is, well, extremely unlikely, as getting a knife skin is quite rare to begin with. Because of this, the supply of these blades on the market will always outpace the demand, making them ludicrously expensive.
Gut Knife Fire and Ice Seed Patterns Rarity
Pattern index is a number that is randomly assigned to each Marble Fade skin when you get it from a case. The Fire and Ice finishes encompass only a select number of patterns and are further divided into several tiers depending on their coloration. The higher the tier your Gut knife Case Marble Fade Fire and Ice is, the higher its rarity and value. Also, the skins from the low tiers may include yellow color, causing some players to doubt whether these are “true” Fire and Ice knives.
Take into account that it’s challenging to differentiate the Fire and Ice patterns. You may easily confuse the most expensive skin with its far cheaper version. So, we strongly recommend you check the pattern list if you ever manage to pull one from a case.
If you can't find the pattern index in the tables provided below, then the blade is “just” a usual Marble Fade skin.
1st Max
The one and only pattern in this group is #412. This Gut knife Marble Fade does feature a small amount of yellow hue at the base of the handle, but that’s it. The blade itself has a fiery color that slowly turns dark blue. It’s enough to take just one look at this skin to understand why Gut knife Marble Fade Fire and Ice price can get so high. You’ll need to pay at least $2,500 for this blade.
2nd Max
The second group includes the rest of the best Gut knife Marble Fade patterns. The majority of players won’t even notice the difference between #412 and the blades from the second tier.
Group | Pattern Seeds |
2nd Max | 16, 146, 241, 359, 393, 541, 602, 649, 688, 701 |
If you’ve decided to buy a cool CS2 Fire and Ice Gut knife from this group, check #701 pattern. The only difference between it and #412 is a slightly lighter color scheme. At the same time, the price is almost twice as low! You can get a second-tier Factory New Fire and Ice Gut knife in CS2 for around $1,300.
3rd Max – 10th Max
Not every Counter-Strike player is willing to buy an extremely expensive cosmetic for their inventory. If you also aren’t chasing rare skins, the knives from these tiers are ideal for you. They can still boast unique looks, and their price range isn’t that much different from the rest of CS skins.

The amount of patterns in these groups is truly jaw-dropping. Of course, you can inspect all of them, but we suggest you pay special attention to the following blades instead:
Max Fake and FFI
The Fire and Ice Gut knife in Counter-Strike 2 may also belong to one of two unique groups. Max Fake skins are known for almost perfectly mimicking the patterns of Fire and Ice ones. Nonetheless, it’s still possible to notice yellow hues near the knife’s handle.
FFI or Regular Fake are the skins with the lowest quality patterns. Some players even say they shouldn’t belong to the Fire and Ice family at all. That’s the main reason why their prices are virtually the same as any other Marble Fade finish.
Group | Pattern Seeds |
Max Fake | 9, 27, 626, 110, 125, 183, 195, 232, 980 329, 351, 372, 397, 404, 441, 448, 459, 473, 483, 537, 561, 590, 254, 632, 647, 710, 727, 203, 753, 756, 785, 805, 809, 90, 818, 869, 909, 930, 941, 962, 976, 989 |
FFI | 60, 62, 71, 98, 148, 170, 196, 216, 222, 234, 266, 304, 307, 309, 315, 321, 328, 333, 364, 368, 400, 411, 413, 415, 438, 445, 463, 485, 489, 496, 506, 535, 570, 582, 593, 605, 630, 663, 667, 670, 674, 691, 717, 723, 746, 794, 822, 845, 846, 931, 948, 958 |
If you’re wondering which fake Gut knife Fire and Ice seed to choose, pay attention to #90. It mimics the design of #412, but its handle is a little bit lighter. Nevertheless, the chance that somebody (or even you, most of the time) notices the difference is close to zero. So, feel free to add this skin to your inventory (and if you’re going for “true” Fire and Ice, try not to get scammed on the community market).
