Thus, Netflix decided to release an animated series titled “Dota: Dragon’s Blood” on March 25th. Over three exciting seasons, the show introduced new characters and offered a fresh perspective on fan-favorites. Moreover, due to Dragon's Blood, Valve even added a brand-new hero to the game! Main Characters in Dragon’s Blood
Davion

Davion, the Dragon Knight, is one of the key Dota Dragon’s Blood characters. Unlike his in-game version, he appears way younger, headstrong, and more charming in the show. After helping the dragon Slyrak against the demon Terrorblade, the knight becomes cursed, gaining the ability to take on a dragon form. He actively interacts with Mirana, her companion Marci, Fymryn, and his squire Bram. Moreover, the knight fell in love with the princess of the Moon, and the couple even had a child.
After realizing the threat that may be caused by Terrorblade, Davion decides to help Slyrak defeat the demon and prevent the dragons from being extinguished. Through the seasons, he becomes more responsible and wise, ultimately leading to his sacrifice in killing Terrorblade.
Mirana

Protector of Selemine’s temple and the princess of the Moon, Mirana is a skilled archer riding on her loyal beast named Sagan. She’s friends with her bodyguard, Marci, and her love interest Davion. Mirana initially appears in the show when she’s looking for the stolen lotuses — Selemine’s powerful artifacts.
As it turns out later, she’s an exiled princess of Nightsilver Woods. Unlike Luna, she’s against the enslavement and extermination of the adherents of other religions. As the story reaches its culmination, Mirana becomes an Empress and opens the Sun Goddess’s “Eye”, thereby gaining potent cosmic abilities.
Marci

Marci is surely one of the cutest characters in the entire show. At the same time, this adorable handmaid is also a skilled bodyguard, able to deliver a couple of severe punches, protecting her friend Mirana. Despite being completely mute, Marci still expresses her emotions with mimics and whistles. Due to her impressive popularity, this lovely girl became one of Dota Dragon’s Blood characters in game.
Throughout the entire show, she acts as a moral compass for her princess. Unfortunately, Viceroy Kashurra kills Marci during his encounter with Mirana. Nonetheless, she’s brought back to life when Invoker alters reality.
Fymryn

Fymryn, as one of the Dota Netflix characters who haven’t been mentioned in the game, emerges as a key figure. This blond elfin girl is responsible for stealing lotuses from the Nightsilver Woods and bringing them to Invoker. She committed this crime to fulfill the ancient prophecy and reincarnate the Moon Goddess Mene. Thus, first, chased by Mirana and Luna, she later becomes their ally. Moreover, Fymryn discovers that she’s actually the reincarnation of Mene.
After becoming the new Goddess of the Moon, the girl finally managed to establish peace between the inhabitants of Nightsilver Woods and the elves. Also, she took part in the final battle against Terrorblade, using her new divine role to help defeat the demon.
Luna

A former mercenary known as Scourge of the Plains and Selemine’s cruel commander of the Dark Moon army, Luna, starts her story by pursuing Fymryn. She rides her lion Nova and leads the crusade against all the elves who refuse to accept her goddess’ faith. Unlike Mirana, Luna opts for more brutal ways to reach her goals, including the campaign of suppression veers into war crimes.
Nonetheless, as the plot develops, the Dark Moon commander completely changes her beliefs and even rejects Selemine’s powers. She becomes an ally to Mirana’s group and also makes friends with Niko Hieronimo while in prison.
Supporting & Recurring Characters
Oracle

Oracle is one of the most mysterious Dota anime characters. First, he appears only as a detached observer and the re-teller of Terroblade’s backstory. However, we also see this mysterious character in the third season, where he reveals pivotal truths to Mirana about Direstone and the dimensional collapse caused by Invoker.
Bram

Starting his path as Davion’s loyal squire, Bram later serves Kaden after his master gets cursed. In the second season, Bram also becomes a Dragon Knight and establishes a close relationship with Auroth, also known as Winter Wyvern. Because of his courage and loyalty to the dragonslayer’s craft, Bran becomes the new Father, whose task is to eventually rebuild Dragon Hold.
Slyrak

At the beginning of the story, Terrorblade attacks Slyrak, one of the eight Great Dragons of Creation and Destruction. Despite the astonishing power of this Eldwurm, the demon still managed to mortally wound him. Thus, Slyrak asked Davion to kill him with his sword, using the Dragon Knight as a host to stay alive and prepare for the next battle against Terrorblade.
Nico Hieronimo

Despite some similar features, Niko Hieronimo isn’t the Pangolier from Dota 2. Nonetheless, he’s also a member of Nivan Gallants, a clan organized by pangolin-like creatures who adore risky adventures, exciting romances, and swordplay. He became Luna’s friend, and together they escaped from the prison. Later, Nico also assisted Mirana in an assassination attempt.
Lina

Lina is one of the most controversial Dota 2 anime characters. In her attempts to bring glory to the Helio Republic, she hired an assassin to kill Mirana. At the same time, she also became friends with Davion as they both felt a connection due to the dragon’s blood in their veins. However, when the Dragon Knight finds out about Lina’s betrayal, he can’t forgive her and leaves. Soon, the girl encounters Viceroy Kashurra but dies in the battle against him.
Rylai

Rylai, also known as the Crystal Maiden, is Lina’s sister and Winter Wyvern’s friend. She helped Auroth save the surviving Knights of the Dragon Hold after the massacre caused by the dragon’s swarm summoned by Terrorblade.
Auroth

Many fans were amazed to discover that Winter Wyvern, whose name is Auroth. This dragon can transform into a human form! However, after gaining this amazing ability, she became unable to communicate with other Eldwyrms. Auroth became Davion’s loyal ally and supported him during his adventures in the Helio Republic. Sadly, just like Lina, she was killed by Viceroy Kashurra.
Antagonists and Villains
Terrorblade

When talking about Dota 2 Dragon’s Blood characters, it’s impossible not to mention the main antagonist of the series — Terrorblade. This demon seeks to slay all the dragons to gather their souls, which are essential for reshaping the entire reality the way he wants.
Though immensely powerful, Terrorblade is trapped in a mirror dimension. Thus, he can only move into the bodies of other living creatures to achieve his plan.
Invoker

Although it’s hard to label Invoker a traditional villain, he’s certainly no hero. This powerful elemental sorcerer can easily break the laws of space and time. It also turns out that Invoker had a child with the goddess Selemine — Philomena. However, when a girl fell gravely ill due to an incurable disease, even the sorcerer’s amazing magic abilities couldn’t help.
After Selemine refused to save her daughter, Philomena soon died. This tragedy is the main reason why Invoker is angry with the goddess. That’s why he helps Fymryn and even makes a deal with Terrorblade, promising him seven dragon souls in exchange for the chance to exact revenge on Selemine.
