CS2 Spring Forward Update of 01.04.2025

An entirely visual update in CS2 was released on the first day of April 2025, delivering about a hundred new skins to the game and additions for the Armory Pass owners. Also, Valve made a few interior changes on Inferno and Train to increase the visibility and eliminate some gaps.
The List of Changes and Updates
Despite the major hype around the fresh skins in the new Fever Case and Train Collection Package available for Armory Pass owners, the rest of the community also got attractive skin designs. So, let’s start with that.

Three New Drop Collections
It's probably no surprise for anyone that most skins in the Weekly Drop (available for Prime owners) are rather boring. Thus, Valve decided to break the expectations and added three new packs of skins for the Weekly Drop.
Of course, most skins are still low-value and not-so-interesting, but a few dozen fresh designs for the CS2 weapon is a positive move. Even Consumer-grade items from the new collections look not-so-boring, while some Industrial-grade guns will surely become desirable options for inventories.

Ascent: M4s look pretty interesting, aren’t they?

Radiant: Most guns have a rather luxurious look

Boreal: Fresh but attractive designs for AWP, Glock-18, USP-S, and P90

Renewed Armory Pass
More exclusive content was offered for the Armory Pass owners or those who are thinking about buying it. Active gamers and skin lovers can get a brand-new Fever Case for two credits, a Train 2025 Collection package for four credits, or spend 15 in-game coins to receive a limited-edition XM1014 | Solitude. The latter has versatile designs depending on the pattern and will be available for purchase only for a limited period.

After adding Train to the competitive map pool, Valve continues popularizing it, now presenting a renewed 2025 Collection. Alongside some ordinary designs, guns like MAC-10, M4A4, MP9, and AWP can become popular in players’ inventories.

The headliner of the new Fever Case surely became the classic Printstream design for AWP. At the same time, FAMAS, UMP-45, Glock, AK, and even P90 or USP look pretty amazing, giving a needed variety for skin lovers.

Changes on Inferno & Train Maps
A different type of visual change was dedicated to the game itself, bringing some minor updates to Train and Inferno. The latter received a slightly wider Banana, which is now closer to its dimensions in the CS:GO version. Other small changes include removing a pixel gap on the Coffins, slightly moving Sandbags near the A Site Balcony, and simplifying some background textures and making them lighter.

The same lightning and simplifying effect was implemented on different parts of the Train, as the map is the darkest in the recent map pool. Also, the sides received better grenade-throwing opportunities near the A Site as the roof rails became shorter.
