  • 7 CS2 Skins That Look Better in Battle-Scarred Than in Factory New
Battle-Scarred and Factory New Skins

CS2 collectors and professional players often opt for skins with the lowest flow to impress everyone with shining paints and attractive prints. But did you know that some weapons look way better with higher wear rate numbers? The scars, faded colors, and damage can all make a gun even cooler (and more realistic as well).

Yes, there are many CS2 skins that look better Battle-Scarred than Factory New. In addition, often (but not always!), you can buy these weapons at lower prices, which makes them even more appealing for an average player. And if you don’t know which BS skins are worth your attention, our list is here to help you!

AWP | Black Nile FN

FN

Black Nile arrived to the game with the release of the Anubis Collection in 2023. This is an ideal skin for fans of Ancient Egypt and simple but stylish designs. The gun’s pattern was probably inspired by the deep dark waters of the River Nile.

It’s enough to take a single look at this AWP in Battle-Scarred condition to understand why this skin is one of the best on our list. As the flow goes up, the black color is slowly replaced with warmer hues. If not for the gun's faded metal parts, it may be difficult to say that this rifle has survived countless gunfights.

The excellent design and attractive price make Black Nile one of the best Battle-Scarred skins in CS2. Also, take into account that the uniqueness of the BS’s version makes it more expensive than the WW and FT models.

Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade

Collection: The Anubis Collection

Price: $1.90 (BS) - $3.88 (FN)

Souvenir: $6.92 (BS) - $24.00 (FN)

Tec-9 | Hades

Tec-9 | Hades BS

BS

Tec-9 | Hades FN

FN

Considering the rugged look of Tec-9 and the fact it’s often used by Terrorists in tough situations, this gun looks all the more natural with the BS skins applied on it. And when it comes to Hades, there is no doubt that you should specifically opt for the Battle-Scarred if you can.

The Easter egg hidden in its pattern is the main reason why this skin made it into our list. In the Factory New condition, the skin is covered in white helmets of ancient Greek warriors. But as the picture fades in higher wear, those turn into skulls. It’s a mind-blowing tribute to Hades, the Ancient Greek God of the Underworld.

This is one of the greatest examples of CS:GO skins that look better Battle-Scarred than Factory New. It fits Tec-9’s design and has an excellent visual shtick.

Rarity: Industrial Grade

Collection: The Gods and Monsters Collection

Price: $19.56 (BS) - $20.56 (FN)

AWP | Atheris

AWP | Atheris BS

BS

AWP | Atheris FN

FN

This beautiful sniper rifle has a print of blue and green viper on a black background. If you ask any AWPer, “Are there any skins better in Battle-Scarred than in Factory New float?” they’ll probably mention Atheris, and they’ll be right!

As the wear increases, all the colors on the gun’s body disappear, except the snake! While not an intended feature as with Hades, a BS Atheris is still among the best high-wear AWPs you can get.

If you manage to find the gun with a float close to the worst condition, you’ll get an eye-catching weapon with a viper on a clear metal background. The good news is that you can get a rifle with such a great and rare design for a ridiculously little amount of money. However, if you are looking for a gun with a 1.00 BS float, you should be ready to pay $90 or even more!

P250 | Verdigris

P250 | Verdigris BS

P250 | Verdigris FN

FN

Can you believe that one of the best-looking Battle-Scarred skins in CS2 costs less than $1? However, the low price doesn’t mean P250 Verdigris isn’t worth your attention.

A Factory New condition Verdigris is covered in copper with some traces of the namesake green pigment. However, as the float goes up, the pistol turns into an emerald green masterpiece. That’s what actually happens to copper as it wears over time (look up why the Statue of Liberty is green).

This touch of extra realism is the main reason why this skin is one of the best Battle-Scarred guns in the game. The cool design combined with surprisingly low price makes Verdigris an ideal pistol for your inventory.

M4A1-S | Night Terror

M4A1-S | Night Terror BS

BS

M4A1-S | Night Terror FN

FN

If you are looking for the best CS2 Battle-Scarred skins for M4A1-S that don’t cost all the money in the world, Night Terror is a great choice for you! The FN version is a terrifying and ominous design, depicting a scarred girl apparently suffering from insomnia. The black color starts fading as the condition worsens, making the gun more purplish.

By the way, Battle-Scarred Night Terrors are more expensive than Factory New ones.  The BS skin looks like the assault rifle has been taken directly from the demented mind of some horror artist. In addition, the weapon’s purple hues and horrifying picture is reminiscent of the Stranger Things and other modern TV shows about supernatural monsters.

PP-Bizon | Rust Coat

PP-Bizon | Rust Coat BS

BS

PP-Bizon | Rust Coat FN

FN

Talking about BS skins better than FN, it’s impossible not to mention Rust Coat for PP-Bizon, as that's the whole point of the design! You probably won’t believe you look at the gun’s Factory New version when you see it. The gun looks well-worn, with some parts already covered with rust. However, that’s nothing compared to what the lowest wear has to offer.

It’s difficult to believe that a BS Rust Coat can still shoot bullets because the skin is completely rusty. Of course, a unique design and relatively low price are bound to attract some attention, and the skin is quite popular right now. Although the gun’s BS version is technically cheaper than the Factory New one, it trades way higher on third-party platforms due to its rarity.

Price: $15.29 (BS) - $18.00 (FN)

M4A1-S | Black Lotus

M4A1-S | Black Lotus BS

M4A1-S | Black Lotus FN

FN

Here, we have another excellent option for the fans of black, beautiful prints, and M4A1-S (and, probably, Magic the Gathering). Do you wonder why this skin is one of the best high-float guns? The reason is that with increased float, this weapon simply becomes more purple while the print stays untouched.

All in all, the skin’s BS design looks a bit more realistic. It truly feels like the rifle that took part in many gunfights. At the same time, even the toughest battles didn’t manage to affect the picture of a beautiful lotus painted on its body. Interestingly, BS Black Lotuses typically sell for around $70 or even higher, which is way more expensive than Factory New ones.
