CS2 Crimson Web Patterns

The popularity and influence of the Crimson Web pattern in Counter-Strike 2 skins, while still considerable, isn’t as massive as it was in the game’s predecessor. Back in the days of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, this cosmetic took the game by storm, and bloody red skins with chaotic black lines were all the rage for quite some time. Those times, however, have long since passed.

Still, the community respects this skin family since CS2 Crimson Web patterns influence the skin rarity and, combined with the wear level, impact the price. So, what are the key features of this line, and how can you determine the individual skins’ prices in 2025? To stay informed about all the nuances and aspects of Crimson Webs, read this guide.

What is Special About CS2 Crimson Web Patterns?

Crimson Webs are among the oldest skin families in the game, presented all the way back on 14th August 2013 — the official birthdate of CS skins as a whole. The Arms Deal update introduced cosmetics to the game with two cases — CS:GO Weapon Case and eSports 2013 Case. Both contained 65 knife skins, with M9 Bayonet, Karambit, and Gut Knives receiving an intricate Crimson Web finish. These three are the oldest members of the family.

As CS skins gradually became the game’s staple, they are today, all other knife types received Crimson Web finish as well. At the same time, only four guns ever got into the club, with SCAR-20 being the first to receive its Crimson Web in November 2013 as part of the CS:GO Weapon Case 2. The remaining three are all pistols (Desert Eagle, CS75-Auto, and Revolver R8). For reasons unknown, this distinctive design didn’t become a popular trend for guns, making it a far more rare sight in-game than it could have been. One way or another, if you hear someone discussing the best Crimson Web pattern, you can be 99% sure they are surely talking about knives.

Almost every Counter-Strike case contains cosmetics with this vibrant finish, making it one of the most widespread in terms of coverage (it’s mostly limited to just knives, so actually seeing one is still quite rare). And, of course, it has a pattern index.

The way your Crimson Web will look depends on the pattern number (from 0 to 999). Some variants have more lines or spots, which impacts the rarity of the skin and its price. For instance, a Classic Knife Crimson Web pattern that has three web centers on the surface is considered a rare item and costs much more than its less web-heavy relatives.

Crimson Web Pattern Seeds

Usually, skin patterns are divided into tiers, and Crimson Web is no exception. However, the specifics here depend on the knife type in question. For instance, elite pattern seeds for Karambit should have a web close to the center of the blade so the owner can actually see it. Stiletto knives, on the other hand, are too narrow to have a proper net on their surface, so a Factory New one with a mediocre pattern will always cost more than even the rarest variant with a higher float.

Bayonet, Huntsman, M9 Bayonet, and Classic Knife Crimson Webs can have several web centers on display, and the patterns that do are the best you can get. Still, at the end of the day, catching an FN Crimson Web knife is less likely than receiving one with an ideally centered spot or several net centers, and the prices reflect this.

As you can see on the screenshot below, web centers are almost invisible on a Well-Worn knife. This makes float even more important than pattern, as high wear will destroy the pattern anyway.

Still, let’s take a look at the Karambit Crimson Web pattern variety and see how much a seed can impact the item’s price here.

1st Tier Crimson Web

Karambit | Crimson Web (Field-Tested), Pattern #515

Karambit | Crimson Web (Field-Tested), Pattern #515, Price: $940

As we’ve already mentioned, the most coveted patterns for Karambit are those that have a web center in the middle of the blade. However, it’s not all that rare for Karambits, so there are a few dozen Tier 1 patterns. However, even Field-Tested wear already drops the item’s price below a thousand-dollar mark, as people aren’t ready to pay this much for a heavily scratched knife, rare pattern or not.

Tier 1 patterns: 10, 21, 59, 60, 86, 92, 112, 148, 162, 172, 189, 235, 251, 257, 309, 310, 324, 334, 377, 390, 411, 453, 460, 461, 515, 526, 532, 571, 629, 689, 779, 786, 803, 813, 842, 904, 911, 958, 964, 977, 983.

2nd Tier Crimson Web

With second-tier patterns, you can expect the coveted web center to appear a bit further from the blade’s center point. However, if you manage to get a Field-Tested (or better) float, you can sell the knife for $800 or more. The second tier includes almost a hundred patterns.

Tier-2 patterns: 16, 17, 19, 22, 30, 32, 40, 43, 48, 52, 54, 113, 117, 123, 125, 133, 215, 231, 233, 242, 245, 379, 388, 397, 412, 421, 423, 464, 485, 506, 520, 544, 550, 614, 619, 627, 662, 687, 699, 716, 718, 723, 724, 740, 746, 815, 818, 821, 832, 914, 932, 934, 940, 948, 962, 965.

3rd Tier Crimson Web

3rd Tier, Karambit | Crimson Web (Field-Tested), Pattern #886, Price: $954

On third-tier Crimson Web Karambits, a net center is located almost on the very edge of the blade, meaning you’ll see only half of the web. Still, you can expect even a 3rd-tier Field-Tested knife to stay above the 900-dollar level, further proving the float>pattern rule.

Tier 3 patterns: 3, 5, 20, 33, 41, 44, 46, 55, 57, 70, 85, 99, 107, 110, 111, 246, 252, 255, 263, 266, 273, 275, 281, 284, 288, 498, 501, 503, 504, 511, 512, 513, 886.

No Web Patterns

No clear Webs, | Crimson Web (Factory New), Pattern #597, Price: $5,445

You won’t find any web center on the #597 Crimson Web, but the Factory New one still costs around $5,500. Once again, the intricacies like a web center’s position seem to matter less than the overall look of the knife.

Examples of Rarest Crimson Web Patterns

M9 Bayonet | Crimson Web, Factory New, Pattern: 469

Our Crimson Web pattern guide should contain particular numbers and skins widely regarded as the rarest. Despite the float having a bigger impact on the price, having three bold web centers will surely increase the value of your knife. The bulleted list below contains the patterns with three web centers on the blade for all the Crimson Web knives:

  1. M9 Bayonet: 333, 411, 469, 553, 651;
  2. Bayonet: 130, 147, 347, 451, 489;
  3. Classic Knife: 107, 847;
  4. Huntsman Knife: 169, 532, 934;
  5. Bowie Knife: 353, 624;
  6. Ursus Knife: 35;
  7. Gut Knife: 100, 163, 339, 359, 765.

How to Get CS2 Crimson Web Patterns?

Crimson Web skins are present in most CS cases, so finding a container that has it shouldn’t cause you any trouble. However, getting any Covert item from a case is extremely unlikely at 0.26%. If you aim to get a Crimson Web rather than any other Covert skin, your chances drop below 0.026%, while getting a Factory New knife with three web centers is almost impossible at 0.00026% (1 chance in 4 million).

As you might have guessed, you won’t find knives of this rarity on common trading platforms. However, statistically speaking, you’ll still save money if you pay the market price rather than buy four million cases. If you ever find one and somehow can afford it, for the love of God, don’t forget to inspect the skin before confirming the purchase!

Meanwhile, less extreme Crimson Web skins can be found online on Steam or other reputable trading marketplaces. The cheapest one is R8 Revolver, which will cost you less than 10 cents for the Battle-Scarred version, while the least expensive knives (Gut and Navaja) will still cost you around $100.

Bottom Line

Each Crimson Web skin is a piece of Counter-Strike history. While patterns certainly play a role in price formation for these cosmetics, they have much less impact on the overall value compared to, say, Case Hardened skins. Of course, to receive a rare CS2 Crimson Web pattern, you’ll need to open thousands of cases or pay thousands of dollars, but simpler ones can be easily found on skin trading websites.
