If you play long enough, Counter-Strike eventually turns from a first-person shooter into a complex battle where team communication plays a vital role. In this regard, knowing callouts on any map becomes an essential skill, with everything else in your gameplay built on top of it.

That is why you are here — to learn and understand Cache map callouts, including area descriptions that will improve your team’s coordination. Although this battlefield isn’t included in the active duty map pool, many players love it, and there is a chance it will return to official competitions soon.

Cache in CS2 remains the classic battleground with five major zones: T & CT Spaws, A & B bombsites, and Middle. Counter-Terrorists can traditionally reach bomb planting zones faster, while Middle connects the remaining four areas.

Precise information has always been a difference-maker in Counter-Strike, regardless of which side you play on. Terrorists rely on accurate callouts for more synchronized Cache map communication during executions, telling teammates where the opponents are positioned for effective prefires. Counter-Terrorists must also know the exact Cache positions in CS2, especially during retakes, when time is limited, and you must quickly explain where the Ts’ are or find the only defuse kit available.

Tip: If you are new to the map, start learning Cache callouts from the Middle, as it is used most often for rotations and split attacks on both bombsites.

Pretty straightforward area that connects the T Spawn/Garage with the Squeaky.

A Main

Highway

Tips to Learn Cache Callouts Faster

Here are a few ways to learn callouts and understand the Cache CS2 map more easily and faster:

  1. Try not to just memorize the names, but understand why each position is called that, especially ones like Red, NBK, or Shroud.
  2. Watch a few historic matchups with professional commentary to gain insight into how these areas are used in real strategies on the map.
  3. Play with friends and practice communicating about sounds, movements, rotations, and overall positions.

Also, avoid some of the common callout mistakes on the Cache map in CS2:

  1. Don’t be lazy about clarifying positions (which Truck from a few, or which corner you mean).
  2. Not every transitional path is a Connector.
  3. Every set of boxes on both Sites have a specific name.

Callouts are simplified and easy-to-remember names for specific positions on each CS2 map, used for better coordination and clearer communication.

Most classic callouts remained the same, such as Red or NBK, but CS2 introduced a few new ones, including Window.
