Community Maps, Charms, and More Update of 2nd October 2025 for CS2

Valve has started its own Winter Arc by introducing an exciting CS2 update on October 2nd. Let’s swiftly review the new maps, charms, stickers, and major gameplay improvements.
New Community Maps

The time of Jura, Grail, Dogtown, and Brewery is over, but these battle arenas have worthy successors. Now, you can admire the beauty of a real-life Portuguese castle in Palacio or enjoy the calmness of a tiny Japanese village in Golden while playing in Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes.
And for those who enjoy the Wingman matches, there are amazing Rooftop and Transit maps. Both boast amusing designs and unique features, such as a train that moves through the map, which you can utilize for tactical maneuvers.
Fresh Charms & Stickers
You’ll surely like the new update if you enjoy customizing your guns with various stickers and charms. All in all, Valve added 83 cosmetic items, including:
- 23 Missing Link Community Charms designed by the CS2 community artists.

- 22 Dr. Boom charms that look like weird variations of an HE grenade.

- 29 stickers drawn by the community designers.

- 9 Sugarface stickers.

Spectator Mode Changes
Valve has started experimenting with new spectator transitions on some maps. Now, when you are in the Spectator Mode and switch from one player’s FPV to another, you’ll experience a smooth camera movement that follows the shortest path through the map.
Gameplay Updates
Of course, the developers continue to enhance our favorite game by improving its gameplay features. Once you enter the match, you’ll surely notice some key changes:
- The death from the C4 bomb detonation now increases the death count in the scoreboard.
- The maximum Zeus-x27 kill streak bonus in the Deathmatch mode is now capped at 12.
- Keychains on the guns slightly jolt when a player moves and makes footstep sounds. Community members have already acknowledged that; currently, this change doesn’t have a significant impact on the sound positioning.
- Valve fixed an incorrect pixel offset and added inaccuracy representation in sniper scopes, which you can still disable via the console commands.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the developers continue to encourage players to create their own maps by improving the available Workshop Tools and map scripting features.
